The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in all phases of US patent prosecution. Duties of this position include preparation and filing of: US patent applications, Provisionals, Utilities, Continuations, Continuations-in-part; Divisionals, Designs, Plant Patent and US National phase applications. Preparation and handling of all related formalities, such as: Declarations, Power of Attorneys, Assignments, Formal Drawings, Information Disclosure Statements, Extensions of Time, Preliminary Amendments, and Missing Parts/Requirements, as well as client communications. Applicant must be knowledgeable in processing Notice of Allowance and Issue Fee Communications, verification of Patent Term Adjustment and Letters Patent. Applicant must also have experience with filing via EFS-Web. Other duties related to US patent prosecution as required; 1500 hour annual billing requirement.

A minimum of 3 + years of US patent prosecution experience is required as well as a thorough knowledge of patent procedural requirements and USPTO practices. All candidates must have excellent organizational skills, a superior attention to detail, the ability to independently prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast paced environment, and work with a wide range of constituencies in a polite, professional manner.
